WHAT IS MARGARITA WEEK?

Margarita Week, originally simply known as "Portland Margarita Week" was created in late 2020 when many restaurants everywhere were struggling to survive the effects the pandemic had (and still has) on the hospitailty industry as a whole. The idea was to highlight local bars and restaurants and create a way to get people excited about getting back together and celebrating each other, the local businesses, and at the same time - raise money for worthy causes. The first two years we partnered with dozens of bars and restaurants to raise nearly $20,000 for Team Brownsville and El Patajismo, with the huge assist from the Bacardi (Ilegal Mezcal, Patron Tequila, and Cazadores) and Brown Forman (El Jimador and Herradurra) teams that matched each and every dollar raised by each margarita sold. Joining us for 2023 as well is the fantastic Grand Marnier team!

This year we are expanding our efforts and will be celebrating not only in the City of Roses (Portland), but in our sister city of Seattle, and our amazing friends on the east coast in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.

We will once again be partnering with El Patajismo for 2023 which is building a new school in Antigua, Guatemala to help their young students develop career skills in hospitailty and beyond. More info coming soon!
